Rental terms

1. The service

Thaks Charge rents portable power banks from stations located in partner businesses in Paris. A rental starts when a power bank is released from a station and ends when it is returned to a slot in any Thaks Charge station.

2. Deposit and payment

• A deposit of €10 is held on your payment method when a rental starts.
• The rental is charged at €2 per started hour, up to €8 per 24 hours.
• On return, the rental amount is taken from the deposit and the rest is released.
• If charges exceed the deposit, the difference is charged to the saved payment method you agreed to when renting.
• If the power bank is not returned within 72 hours, a non-return fee of €25 in total applies (the deposit counts towards it). If it is returned later, the fee is refunded minus the rental.
• All prices include VAT.

3. Returning the power bank

You may return the power bank to any Thaks Charge station during the partner's opening hours. The rental ends only when the station confirms the return. If a station has no free slot, the rental continues until you return it elsewhere.

4. Faulty units and damage

• If a power bank doesn't work, return it within 5 minutes and take another. The first rental is free.
• Visible damage caused during your rental (for example a cracked case or cut cable) may be charged at €15, taken from the deposit.

5. Safe use

Do not open, puncture, heat or immerse the power bank, or use it with damaged cables. Keep it away from children.

6. Refunds and complaints

If you think you were charged incorrectly, contact support@thakscharge.com with the station code and rental time. We reply within 2 working days.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Nothing in them limits your rights as a consumer under EU and French law.
